"It seems strange to say, but what can help modern man find the answers to his own mystery and the mystery of him in whose image he is created, is silence, solitude -- in a word, the desert. Modern man needs these things more than the hermits of old." Catherine Doherty

Say hello to Spring!

Spring time has finally come to the Mary Theotokos Center!

The pasture has become a morning Rosary walk for many visitors.

Now we are working to get the grounds in shape as well as the interior ready for retreats. There is much straightening and planting to do!

These Flower beds and boxes need more mulch and weeding! Time to get a LOT of mulch!

A lot of mowing, weeding and cleaning to go, finding what was under the snow! Spring also means getting animals for the barns! No pictures of sheep yet but here are a few new additions.

Turkeys and chickens in the warm house listen to classical music and Gregorian Chants as they grow and get ready to head for the barn.

After all this work, it’s a good time for a little fun with the kids. When there are extra tires waiting under the snow for proper disposal, there is one thing you can do after working all day,..make a tire swing!

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy group is still meeting on Fridays at 3:00 in the Chapel and other visitors stop by to work for God, or spend time in the “classroom of silence” to hear God’s voice. We hope you will stop by too.
